Volcolm 2010 Wild in the Parks Peoria AZ
Peoria, Arizona stop number three on the “Wild in the Parks” tour was hosted at the Rio Vista skate park with the help of HOBO skateboards a up and coming LOCAL company. With a field of over One hundred and fifty skaters and lots of familiar faces it was a party and the heat factor was almost nonexistent.
The 14 & Under Division skaters were the first to take the course, with riders like last years first place winner Daewon Owens moving up to the 15 & Over division, this years field was wide open for return riders like Enzo Cautela . All three heats came blasting out of the starting gates and laid waste to the three zones! Dashawn Jorden was this years well deserved first place winner with Joey Cattabiani claiming second and Enzo Cautela taking third place for a second year in a row.
With only a few minutes rest the 15 & Over Division was attacking the park with a vengeance. Little time was wasted before we were seeing nose blunt slides across the picnic table, hardflips down the 6-set, nollie back lips, and a b/s 360 on the big 10-set! When it was all said and done it was Chad Hwiathowski taking first place, Dahoda Osushyu and Connor Howitt rounding up second and third place.

The Pro-Am Division skaters were the last to compete and amazes us. Of course this should have been expected with rippers like Nick Fiorini and Taylor Verva returning again this year in addition to last years 15 & Up’s First place winner Blue Headey. Possessed to skate, every rider went hard from start to finish keeping the judges franticly scoring and the crowed constantly cheering.

What a Division and with close scores all around it went Joshua Hawkins taking first place with Martin Bernal and Greg Dunagan with second and third place. Taylor Verva, Adam Arvaski, Adam Royal and Rayce Davis placed forth through seventh place and will be invited back to the Finals in October once again at Rio Vista Skate Park.
Additional thanks goes out to HOBO skateboards for contributing to the prize pool and for their overall support of the event!!!!
