A Session at the “Blood Ramp”
We started the night around 6 o’ clock on a Friday evening, with the rumor of a secret sixty-foot ramp in the middle of Nowhere, Arizona. The three of us piled into the car not really expecting too much other than a big ramp with an even bigger drive, but we headed out to see the ramp so lovingly named the “Blood Ramp”.
It was me (Scott Westlake), Adrian Hernandez, and Isaiah Johnson driving as far north and west as the roads would allow us before turning to dirt…and then we had to keep driving!
Through the blackness we could see houses every once in a while, and then there were the lights. Isaiah laughed and said, “Where are we the X-Games?”
We all had to laugh because it looked like a scene out of a movie, this monster of a ramp with about thirty people on the decks and a big bonfire raging.
The Blood Ramp is nothing to be messed with. Sixty feet long ranging from 5’ to 10’ tall, with a roll-in channel and one end bowled in with the future desire of another bowled in section to be added.
The session was crazy, with the guys from Old Man Army, Cowtown, Sector Nine, AZPX and Spun.
Shane Short was the youngest of the session at age 11. He was putting on a clinic, ripping up every section of the ramp. Rayce Davis was killing it along with one of Arizona’s newest, soon to be well known riders, Aron Gurunlin. Russell Foisy pulled one of the best “crail to tail” I have seen in a while, and Adrian Hernandez was blasting air after air.
If you ever get a chance to go to the Blood Ramp, GO! This has to be one of the best ramps in Arizona!! Hands down!!! Next month more pics of this magic wonder land!!

I remember that session it was fucken Sick!!!
I basically have been to all of them mainly cuz i live next door .
but shit We need to get another fucken session out here its been so slow lately I miss skaten with people so if u wanna skate hit me up
